Program
Operative Apnea
General informations
The Training of Operative Freediving Training is structured in three different levels that together offer complete mastery of the subject
1 level - Dry respiratory and operative training
The training provides students with the basic tools for awareness of breathing in operational use, in underwater apnea and in the subaerial environment.
Level 2 - Respiratory training and operating in the pool
The training provides students with a better understanding of the skills introduced in the previous level in the pool application
Level 3 - Respiratory training and operating at sea
The training provides students with a better understanding of the skills learned with the previous levels and their application at sea.
Respiratory and dry training
Awareness and enhancement of breath improve performance and stress management in underwater apnea, as confirmed by a consolidated scientific know-how , advanced teaching and international apnea competitions and other sports.
The apnea breathing techniques can be used to improve the performance of operational activities with high physical and emotional intensity, with physiological analogies with underwater apnea, in a wide range of training needs, starting with amphibious activities.
The training addresses the following topics:
- Physical and mental relaxation
- Performance preparation
- Effort management and recovery
- Post-performance psycho-physical recovery
- Respiratory muscle enhancement
- Improved control and breathing resistance
- Rapid activation of respiratory muscles
- Differentiated control of respiratory districts with operational equipment
- Conditioning to amphibious, outdoor and parachuting activities
- Management of breathing in shooting
- and so on…

Respiratory and pool training
Training in the pool is reserved for personnel in possession of apnea patent or salvation patent of the Italian Swimming Federation (FIN) or in the absence of both to the verification, at the discretion of the trainer, of a sufficient level of aquatic, swimming and free diving , with and without the equipment (fins, mask and aerator).
The training will be carried out in the swimming pool with FIN Assistant Bather Assistant staff, in service in support of the Trainer and subject to the signing of the release in accordance with the law.
Students will acquire different skills including:
- Specific conditioning for amphibious activities
- Conditioning to physical and mental relaxation in apnea in stress conditions
- Performance preparation
- Safe apnea management and operational efficiency
- Effort management and recovery
- Conditioning of the torque system
- Increased resistance integrated with metabolic training
- Differentiated control of respiratory districts with operational equipment
- Conditioning to high stress operational situations
- and so on…

Respiratory training and operating at sea
Training at sea is reserved for personnel in possession of a freediving license, subject to the presence of Freediving Instructors in support of the instructor and the safety standards provided, in particular: support boat, oxygen / AMBU, radio, under flag, buoys marks sub in the water, tops guide on the surface and for the descent, etc., numerical ratio Instructor / students foreseen by the apnea didactics for the groups and upon signing of the release in accordance with the law.
The maximum depth is limited to 10 meters.
The training is divided into:
- Specific conditioning for amphibious activities
- Conditioning to physical and mental relaxation in apnea in stress conditions
- Performance preparation
- Safe apnea management and operational efficiency
- Effort management and recovery
- Conditioning of the torque system
- Differentiated control of respiratory districts with operational equipment
- Conditioning to high stress operating situations in an amphibious environment
